History of buildings

All apartments and studios for rent are established in the historical building of Milk Center (cooperative of milkmen) in the center of Kaunas, which was built in 1935–1938. The buildings were designed by the most famous architects of those times and have remained valuable examples of the Lithuanian Interwar architecture. In 2014 the buildings were essentially reconstructed into commercial and residential premises.

Location

The buildings, where you will find the apartments and studios for rent, are located in the central part of the city of Kaunas. Although they are about 3 kilometers away from the Kaunas Old Town Hall, the buildings are still in the heart of the city, right next to the Žalgiris arena and the shopping and entertainment center “Akropolis”.  Just a 5-10-minute walk and you will reach the central Bus Station and the Railway Station of Kaunas, from where you will easily travel to Vilnius, Klaipeda and other Lithuanian cities or even the capitals of other countries. The Kaunas city visiting card – pedestrian street Laisves avenue – is only a 15-20-minute walk away, and from there all the main museums, restaurants, night clubs are within the arm’s reach. Athletic people, who enjoy walking, jogging, cycling will be fascinated by the pedestrian and cycling path along the bank of the river Nemunas, which flows about 20 meters away from the building. The path will lead you to the Kaunas Old Town or Panemune park where you will find beaches and sports fields.

Public transport

Apartment rules:

• All apartments for rent are only intended for rest and overnight stay. It is strictly forbidden to organize any parties. If you are looking for a flat for parties or entertainment, do not apply here. A fine for organizing parties is 200 EUR;
• We are very careful about the tidiness and fresh air in the apartments. We declare and promise this to our clients. For this reason, it is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO SMOKE in the apartments. A fine for smoking is 200 EUR;
• Although we love animals, we do not allow to arrive to the apartments with pets in respect to our future clients who may be allergic;
• The clients are responsible for their safety in the apartments themselves. The clients should assess in advance that some apartments have got mezzanines and steep stairs;
• In case of causing damages, you must inform us and compensate for the amount of the damages;
• The apartment rent price in advertisements is always indicated for two persons. As a standard, every additional person will be charged 15 EUR/night (children under 3 stay free of charge). If more persons are going to stay, it must be informed in advance, because we will prepare a relevant amount of bedding and sleeping places. In case more people than declared stay and sleep, there is a 50 EUR fine for a person;
• The payment is possible by bank cards (VISA, MAESTRO and MASTERCARD) or transfer via banks, PayPal, Revolut;
• Free of charge cancellation of the booking is possible more than 14 days before the arrival. A fine for the order cancellation less than 14 days before the arrival or for non-arrival is equal to the price of the first night of stay.

Check-in – check-out:

• You must check-in from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and check-out before 11 pm. You must agree in advance about other check-in/check-out times;

• All apartment doors have “smart” locks, which will only open using your phone number which you will tell us in advance. Your telephone is your apartment key, therefore make sure that it is always charged. You will not need to worry about taking/returning the key and you will be able to enter the apartment as soon as you arrive, and comfortably leave in the morning.

King Mindaugas apartments  „How to find the buildings #64, #68 and parking lot“

The most convenient way to find the building is to drive down the Karaliaus Mindaugo street in the SE direction, opposite the old town. You will reach a huge shopping mall "AKROPOLIS", then you need to drive through it under the parking building, and after the second traffic lights turn to the left, in 15 meters you will see a parking lot to your right (reference point "PIZZA BLESS"). Next to the buildings there are several public city car parks which are free of charge. One is located in Kaunakiemio street, near “Pizza Bless”, another is along Kaunakiemio street towards Čiurlionio str. (towards the bridge across the Nemunas), and the third one is located under the bridge of Čiurlionio street, there are video surveillance cameras in this car park. If you will not find a parking place go clockwise around the block where you will find a 2nd and a 3rd parking lot under the bridge.

King Mindaugas apartments  „How to find entrance to the building and apartments“

Entrance to the building #64 (of red and yellow bricks) is at the end of the building. You have to pass the whole building along Karaliaus Mindaugo street and around the corner on your left you will find the entrance doors. Building #68 (white one) is in the courtyard, 15 meters from #64.
